Get to know Ashley Scott, P3 & Uplift Delivery, People Operations Manager
What do you like most about your position? I love that I get to interact with so many people on a daily basis! Outside of our internal teams at P3 and Uplift, I also get to interact with our consultants, vendors, brokers, office neighbors, etc. I like that I get to be one of the faces of the company and ensure that everyone has a great experience with us!
What is your biggest motivator at work? I’m motivated by being amongst a team of people who are highly successful and fantastic at their jobs. It makes me want to show up every day and do the best I can to keep up with them!
What is your most-used productivity hack? I get pulled in a million directions a day and often feel like I don’t always get things done on the to-do list that I wanted. A trick that I was taught is to add all the different things that you were unexpectedly working on to your to-do list and then cross them off at the end of the day. It’s easy to visualize that you were still productive and achieved more than you thought!
In your opinion, what are the best skills to have for a role like yours? Consistency, flexibility, and the ability to listen actively are huge!
What was your initial interest in this position/company? I had former co-workers working at P3 as Recruiters, and they had rave reviews about working there. I ended up interviewing and fell in love with P3’s team and culture!
Do you have any mentors in your professional life? I’m lucky to have several mentors in my professional life! I love working with my Directors, Lindsay Toll, and Kelley McManus, from P3/Uplift. Both are leaders in their separate industries and bring so much knowledge to the table. I become a sponge trying to soak up everything they know and share with me. They both care about my development and push me to constantly grow and evolve in my role!
What do you like to do in your spare time? Anything with my son Landon (8)! Currently, we’ve been enjoying doing everything outside, like going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards. I also enjoy traveling, shopping, and spending time with my family and friends.
Favorite family tradition? My favorite family tradition is celebrating Christmas on Christmas Eve with my extended family! We always head to my Aunt’s home and have a spread of appetizers and play games all night. It’s been fun over the years to watch our family grow, as all of my cousins now have kids of their own.
Favorite place you’ve vacationed? Ireland!
What are you currently watching on TV? House of the Dragon, and I’m currently re-watching True Blood.
If you could instantly acquire one talent or ability, what would it be? The ability to clean my house with the snap of a finger!
Favorite item you’ve ever bought? A tie between my college degree and my house 😉
